The first step was a phone interview where they asked some basic questions, like why I was interested in Epic and the SDE role. They also talked about their intern programs and campus. After that, there was an online assessment that included four programming problems, some math questions, and questions about new languages.

Behavioral Technical Coding

I applied for the job online. A few days later, I got an email to schedule a phone interview. It lasted about 30 minutes. They asked me some basic behavior questions about how I knew Epic and why I wanted to be a software developer. Then, they gave me a technical question about a scenario with five buttons (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) and a pattern of presses like 2, 3, 1, 4, 5. The system has to remember this pattern, so if the user presses 2 next time, it should automatically suggest 3, 1, 4, 5. I was asked how I would implement this.

Behavioral Technical Coding

First, there was a phone interview which was pretty chill, just asking about my background. Then, I had an online programming assessment that took a good chunk of time, about 2 hours, and I think the coding part is really important. If I passed that, I got invited for an onsite interview, and honestly, if you make it to this stage, you're probably gonna get the offer.
