So I had 2 interviews, but didn't get past the panel interview. The panel interview involved a deep dive into a live Amazon brand called ATEK, which sells undershirts. I had to come up with 3 suggestions to help them reach a $1M sales goal by year's end. It felt like they wanted applicants to do free work for the agency without giving good feedback on the interview performance. After a 10-minute presentation, the panel asked questions, then moved on to behavioral questions. I heard back a few days later about the rejection, apparently knowing Amazon wasn't enough. When I asked for more feedback on the interview and what could've been better, the recruiter scheduled a meeting but then ghosted and avoided explaining why I wasn't moved forward. They ask for at least 5 years of experience for a senior role, but the 3 directors interviewing me had only about 2 years of experience each in a brand manager role. The pay is below industry standards, benefits are mediocre, and they have high expectations for applicant requirements.

Technical Presentation Behavioral

I applied online and then had to take an initial assessment with some math questions and one recorded question. After that, a talent specialist did a phone screening with a few basic questions. The next step was a panel interview where I had to make a presentation on how I'd handle a specific problem using provided client data. The presentation was supposed to be 10 minutes max, but the three interviewers didn't give any feedback after, which was weird. The rest of the interview was them asking behavioral and situational questions, and then I got to ask mine. They really emphasized needing to fill the role quickly, so interview turns were fast. They said I'd hear back in a few days after the panel, but I never did. Not even an email saying they chose someone else, an automated one would've been better than total silence. Seriously, just communicate better in the future.

The interview process was very straightforward, taking about 2 weeks to complete. It involved three interview rounds plus an assessment. I spoke with a recruiter, the hiring managers, and the CEO. They were professional and answered my questions.
