3 rounds. Pretty straight forward. Enjoyed my convos. But weirdly enough, they emailed me to extend an offer. I replied to set up a call and was ghosted. I’ve never had that happen before. I reached out twice then just assumed maybe they changed their mind.

So I had 2 interviews, but didn't get past the panel interview. The panel interview involved a deep dive into a live Amazon brand called ATEK, which sells undershirts. I had to come up with 3 suggestions to help them reach a $1M sales goal by year's end. It felt like they wanted applicants to do free work for the agency without giving good feedback on the interview performance. After a 10-minute presentation, the panel asked questions, then moved on to behavioral questions. I heard back a few days later about the rejection, apparently knowing Amazon wasn't enough. When I asked for more feedback on the interview and what could've been better, the recruiter scheduled a meeting but then ghosted and avoided explaining why I wasn't moved forward. They ask for at least 5 years of experience for a senior role, but the 3 directors interviewing me had only about 2 years of experience each in a brand manager role. The pay is below industry standards, benefits are mediocre, and they have high expectations for applicant requirements.

I started with a phone screen with the recruiter. After that, I had a panel interview with two team members. They asked a mix of technical questions about Amazon Advertising and analytics, and then soft-skill questions about client communication and career challenges. The interview was short, only 30 minutes, and they asked about 10 questions, leaving little time for my own questions. They did stay a few minutes late so I could ask a couple of questions. It would be better if the interview was longer to cover everything.

HR reached out to set up an interview, I gave my availability and then got ghosted. Two weeks later, they contacted me again saying my email had been "lost." I had three interviews in total. The first was an initial chat with HR. The second was also with HR, but this time I was given a math assessment right then and there, on camera (I'm always a nervous tester, and after 11 years in my career, this is the only time I've had to take a pop quiz). The third was a quick-fire Q&A with a panel.
