It was a panel interview with four interviewers. The interview was 45 minutes long and I was asked 10 questions. They each took turns asking questions. It was a virtual interview and I had to keep my camera on. Be ready for some tough questions.

I got contacted about 3 weeks after I applied. Overall, I went through 3 interviews. The first one was in person and they seemed really interested in my skills. The other two were more casual, phone calls really, just to get to know each other and the agency/job better. All of them were panel interviews with 2-3 people, and it was either my future supervisors or colleagues asking questions that they had prepared and then writing down my answers. I got an offer from HR less than a month after they first reached out. I was all set to start working 1.5 months after I got the offer.

I had a first interview scheduled with two people on short notice, about a week. It was a pretty comfortable interview, even nice. We kicked off with questions about my professional background and then moved to my interpersonal and work philosophy. They asked some technical questions too, but in a laid-back way, asking about what I thought were important issues to investigate and how I'd go about it. We spent time on my questions too, and they gave detailed answers. It was a really engaging conversation, lasted around 45 minutes. A second interview was set up a couple weeks later. I had to give a 30-minute presentation on a technical topic I picked. I also met some other potential teammates and higher-ups. Finally, we touched on salary expectations and benefits. Everyone was super friendly and even offered some useful tips about relocating to the area. I got a strong sense that they really value talent and treat people professionally, respecting their lives outside work, which was a big deal for me. It did come up a few times when I probed that the team is understaffed and needs people who can wear multiple hats. The vibe was pretty relaxed, like no strict dress code or formality. I got an informal offer about 10 days later, followed by a formal one a few days after that.
