The first interview was scheduled with very short notice, only half an hour before it started, causing me to miss it because I didn't see the email in time. The interviewer was upset about this. I asked to reschedule, explaining the situation, and they agreed. During the actual interview, the interviewer was very rude, unprofessionally telling me not to use headphones while they were using them. They then asked several theoretical questions in what felt like an attempt to show off. They also asked me twice about my current role as listed on my resume before we began. This experience was highly unprofessional and reflects poorly on the company's culture. I suggest they provide training for interviewers and be more selective about who conducts interviews.

Technical Behavioral

I recently interviewed at Envestnet Yodlee in Bengaluru for an MTS role. On the day of the drive, I learned they were specifically hiring for Java developers. I got through all the rounds: 2 written tests and 3 technical interviews, plus an HR round. They asked standard Java questions. The HR person inquired about my current and expected salary, which I shared. The next day, she requested my academic records, last three months' payslips, hike letter, and other documents, which I provided. A few days later, she informed me about an additional interview. I attended it, and the interviewer asked about my company's product, my role, and past projects, along with the technologies I've used. He also asked about my salary expectations, stating my current compensation was 18 LPA and I desired a 30-40% hike. He then questioned why they would offer 25 lacs for Java coding, to which I replied it's about problem-solving, not just Java. He asked for examples of challenging problems I'd solved. He also inquired about my machine learning, analytics, and recommendation system projects, suggesting they could be easily done with Google Analytics and making dismissive remarks about machine learning. Finally, he invited questions, but I declined, and the interview concluded. The HR then mentioned we weren't aligned. My advice is to avoid downplaying candidates' achievements and for HR to clearly state job requirements and salary expectations upfront.
