First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Entrepreneurs First.
Founder
So there were like 4-5 calls, each about 30 minutes, spread out over months. The first few calls were super chill, just getting to know each other. But honestly, it felt like the only really important one was the last one with a manager at EF. You end up telling them the same stuff you told everyone else, but you really have to nail it this time and show you're motivated. I felt like I was kind of losing steam after months of this and repeating myself.
- Can you share a time when you stood out from your peers?
CEO-Founder
Entrepreneur First contacted me because I was recommended. I had 5 interviews with them, but 2 were cancelled without notice. The atmosphere wasn't very welcoming and they test your knowledge, even on current events. They're looking for very specific profiles to build teams for startups, so if you don't fit their mold, you might not get in. They want to be sure they're investing in good entrepreneurial teams.
- If you had to start your startup tomorrow, how would you go about it?
- What AI topics are currently generating a lot of discussion?
Founder
There were two 45 minutes interviews, the first one was about founder's abilities (asking about technical skills, projects, etc..), and the other one was behavioural. The interviewers were very friendly and explained the interview process at the beginning. They also sent some resources to prepare two days before the actual interview.
- What differentiates you from others with similar qualifications?
- Tell us about a time you rallied people to join your project.
- Describe an instance where you mobilized and persuaded individuals to support your initiative.
