First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Enterprise Products.
Pipeline Technician
The interview included typical questions. They might ask for specific examples of ethical decisions to assess your character. They wanted specifics rather than hypotheticals. They also inquired about resolving interpersonal conflicts. It was a pleasant interview overall.
- Could you describe a safety issue you encountered and how you addressed it?
- Tell me about a time you had to make an ethical decision and what you did.
- Describe a situation where you had to resolve a conflict with someone.
Risk Manager
The hiring process was very thorough and they clearly communicated what was expected. The HR person did a great job with the initial screening and gave me some background on the job and who I'd be meeting with. The interviewer was nice and asked some general interview questions.
- Can you describe your previous experience?
BI Analyst
I went through an interview process for a BI Technical Analyst role, which they said was a senior techno-functional position. It started with a SQL test, which seemed more suited for entry-level candidates than senior ones, with a minimum score of 80 required. I passed that with a good score. Then there was a phone screen. The technical part had mostly basic SQL questions. Then they threw in a weird question: "how would you go about obtaining functional requirements for a 'Toaster'?" Apparently, my toaster requirements gathering wasn't up to par, and I was rejected for that reason, despite my BI technical and business analysis skills.
- Tell me about your SQL knowledge.
- How would you gather functional requirements for a toaster?
Internal Controls Specialist
I applied in September on the careers site and had my first interview in mid-October on campus. It was with one person, covering behavioral and resume-based questions, with no technical questions. After that, I had a 30-minute interview with an HR manager. About two weeks later, I got a call inviting me to a second round interview in Houston at the end of October, and I flew out there. This second round involved two one-hour interviews: one with a manager and another with a director. The first interview was quite pleasant, with many situational questions. The second interview included both situational and technical questions, and the interviewer had a set list of very similar questions. While the first interviewer was more relaxed after a few questions, the second was quite intimidating, though both were nice people. It seems like a very nice place to work.
- Questions about internal auditing were asked.
- There were questions based on my resume.
- I was asked a lot of situation type questions.
