First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Entelo.
Data Scientist
The company's recruiting process has some serious flaws despite their goal to make recruiting faster. I spent over 6 hours interviewing and didn't get a final decision after a month, even after multiple follow-ups. The first interview was 1 hour long and focused on past experience with follow-up questions. The second interview was with the recruiter. The virtual onsite was 4.5 hours long, split over 2 days, including interviews with the hiring manager, a SQL-focused interview, and an interview about building a live data science application using their data.

Associate Product Manager
I applied online and then the hiring manager reached out a few weeks later. They gave me an assignment to create a spec for some features based on XYZ. After that, I had a 45-minute phone interview with the hiring manager. Then there was a 3.5-hour on-site interview where I met with 6 people in pairs. Each person gave me an assignment or task and asked questions. Everyone was nice and seemed good at their jobs. However, some of the assignments felt too vague, and I didn't have enough time to really show my skills on the main PM assignment. Also, there wasn't much time for my questions at the end, less than 5 minutes per person. I didn't get the job. The hiring manager offered feedback but then ignored my request for it. A big red flag for me was the company's emphasis on diversity. I was interviewed by six men in their 30s, mostly white. This makes me question their diversity claims, especially in management. The office also felt small and corporate, with an unused bean bag toss and not enough space for calls or plants.
- What product would you create for job seekers?
- If you were the PM for Zenefits before it existed, how would you approach it?
- Develop a product specification for XYZ features.
Head of Recruiting
The interview process was seamless and easy. I was very impressed from the start with how I was contacted and followed up with. Everything was efficient and everyone was very accommodating. I first met with people from HR and Recruiting, and then I met with people from the business. I spent time with the hiring manager on 3 separate occasions and with the CEO twice. The process took a while, but I appreciated how much time people spent getting to know me beyond my resume. It was clear early on that they take hiring very seriously and want to get it right.
- Can you explain your interest in Entelo?
- What is an accomplishment you are particularly proud of?
- Could you share an instance where something did not go as planned and how you handled it?
Sales Development Representative
It was a phone screen then an on-site, with 5 rounds total. Honestly one of the best interview experiences I've had. They even called me personally to let me know I wasn't moving forward, which I appreciated. By the time of the interviews, it was pretty clear to me why I wasn't a good fit, and that's okay. The goal is for both sides to see if it's a good match. If my career path ever leads me to a role where I think I'd excel at Entelo, I'd love to reapply. The managers were insightful and the company seems to really care about employee development.
- Can you identify 3 ideal prospects for selling Entelo, including their names, titles, and LinkedIn profiles?
- Choose one of those prospects and write an initial email to pique their interest in a conversation.
- If that prospect doesn't reply to the email, record a follow-up voicemail for them.
