Software Engineer
I do have some feedback for the interviewers here, although I didn’t get feedback from the company. You can show more respect by following these points: 1. Join the interview on time. 2. Don’t tell the candidates that their experience is at the bottom of the requirement directly in the interview. 3. Don’t ask questions like an interrogation. 4. Don’t interrupt your candidate when they are asking questions.
- How do you handle conflicts?
Software Engineer
You start by submitting your application online, making sure your resume shows off your skills. Then, HR or managers review who applied to pick out good candidates. Next, there might be a quick chat (phone or video) with someone from HR to talk about your background and if you're interested. After that, you'll likely have interviews with people on the team or managers to check your technical skills and how you solve problems. They also do 'behavioral' interviews to see your soft skills like teamwork and communication, asking about past situations. Sometimes you might have to do tests related to the job. Finally, you could have interviews with higher-ups to see if you fit the company culture. They might also check your references. If you make it through all that, you could get a job offer with all the details. Then comes onboarding to get you settled in with company info and your role.
- Can you share an instance where you collaborated with a team to reach a shared objective?
- In what ways do you approach and manage constructive feedback?
- What stands out as your greatest professional accomplishment to date?
Senior Software Engineer
Had a first call with the recruiter about the job, my motivation, and past experience. The second stage was a video interview covering Java backend knowledge, including Java Basics, Reflection, Threading, Spring, Design Patterns, Web services, Messaging Systems, CI, CD, and Quality. The interview went well, though they had already decided to hire others, which was unprofessional. On the plus side, they provided detailed feedback on the technical interview performance using a 1-5 score for different areas.
- Can you tell me about a design pattern you are familiar with?
- What are the differences between final, finally, and finalize?
- Explain what a deadlock is.
