The interview process was very smooth. It mainly focused on your working experience and knowledge of QA. If you don't have related working experience but have a strong interest, you can still have a chance for an interview.

We began by talking about my background and then they described their company and what they do, offering me a chance to ask questions. After they answered my questions satisfactorily, I received an assessment a few hours later. It involved building either a frontend or backend app according to their specs. I put a lot of effort into it, creating tests, ensuring clean and testable code. Although they gave me 4 days, I finished it in about 6 hours. Finally, I presented it to the company lead who asked me questions to check my knowledge and then gave me time to ask more questions about the company.

Technical Coding Presentation

The interview process felt more intense than what other devs talk about. It started with a call with HR, then a 60-minute test covering Javascript and general CS topics which wasn't too easy or too hard. After that, there was another hour-long Skype call with HR. Then, I had to code a React app, including a component and an API, which took about 4 hours. Finally, I was told I'd need to explain my code to the Director.

This was a rough interview experience. Although they have an HR department, they didn't respond to me despite my efforts not to be bothersome. I finally got a rejection over a month after our initial conversation. The plan was for three interview rounds, with a short coding task to be completed after the first interview. The first round was a casual chat about my background, an introduction to the position and the company, and an outline of the subsequent steps. The second round was a technical interview to discuss the code test that was given between the first and second interviews. The third round involved an interview with the development team lead, focusing on a small software project I had previously completed.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Can you share general information about yourself and provide a code sample?
  • Tell me about a past software project you worked on.
