So, first I had the recruiter call on the phone. Then, I interviewed with the Regional Director of Sales and Marketing, also over the phone. The last step was an in-person interview with the Executive Director. It took about 30 days between the first and second interviews, and I honestly thought I might have lost out, but things moved really fast after that second call. I got the offer and started working the same week.

Behavioral Presentation

I was given one week to prep and reached out to the Company Director. I did my homework on the company and the Director who would be interviewing me. It boosted my confidence knowing I was presenting myself accurately for this role. I wasn't worried beforehand because I'm secure in my expertise in this area and I tailored my resume and cover letter specifically for this position. This genuine approach also reassured the Director, who was professional yet approachable. The questions were scenario-based, and I was pleased how my background in a different field proved useful. The interview went great overall, despite a few interruptions. These were unavoidable given the Director's responsibilities. It might have felt different if it were an actual candidate in a mock interview. The company culture felt positive and vibrant. I felt really lucky to have interviewed with this person; anyone would be happy to work with him. He's a great leader, well-liked by his team. It's clear why – he's the best interviewer I've ever had, and the company is amazing! If the position were still open, I'd have seriously considered it because it was that good.

This was a very long interview process, involving 7 people. It took a matter of weeks from start to finish. There were phone interviews and then in-person interviews. The whole thing was somewhat grueling, but I did learn a lot about the company and everyone I spoke with.
