I went through a few pre-employment assessments, covering things like personality, analytical thinking, and problem-solving. Then, I had a chat with a psychologist about my leadership style, along with my strengths and weaknesses. After acing those assessments, there was a bunch of interviews.

The first interview was with the Executive Director and Memory Care Manager. They had a list of questions typed out and went through them together. It was mostly scenario questions, questions about your character, and questions to see how comfortable you are working with the elderly and people with dementia. The top 2 candidates will have a second interview, a phone interview, with someone from Enlivant in another state.

Behavioral

I do better when a manager interviews me, not a recruiter. This was a screening interview with a recruiter, who didn't seem to know much about the job and asked common personality questions. It's hard for me to seriously answer questions like 'What drives you?' when the recruiter clearly hadn't even read my resume. The whole experience felt impersonal, like I was just a number. I got a "corporate culture" vibe from this interview, so I'm not applying for any more jobs at this company.

Behavioral Presentation

So, first I had the recruiter call on the phone. Then, I interviewed with the Regional Director of Sales and Marketing, also over the phone. The last step was an in-person interview with the Executive Director. It took about 30 days between the first and second interviews, and I honestly thought I might have lost out, but things moved really fast after that second call. I got the offer and started working the same week.
