You'll need to show a demo class and then get some feedback via email. After that, you'll submit photos and a video. The whole process is online, so no need to go to the company or meet anyone in person.

You'll do a short demo lesson, about 15-20 minutes long, to show your English skills, your knowledge, and how you teach. You have to follow a script at the start and make sure the "student" can hear and see you well, and introduce yourself and so on.

First, they'll give you a quick rundown of what to expect in the interview, how the demo lesson will work, and the steps you'll go through. Then, you'll do a mock lesson. In my case, I worked with Daily News and then did a Free Conversation. The staff member was really nice and patient.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

It was a virtual interview. The hiring person didn't have their camera on, but mine had to be on. They had a strict tone, but by the end, they were really positive about me passing. They asked questions about different tutoring situations, like how I'd explain the difference between similar words. There was also a practice lesson where I was the tutor and they were the student. This practice lesson wasn't like a real lesson with students.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Could you explain the difference between two similar words?
