Project Manager
First round with HR: motivations, insight, team spirit, type of contract sought, desired start date, salary expectations. Second round with manager: situational exercise, questions about professional background, motivation, and the energy sector.
- Can you tell me why you're interested in Engie and the energy sector?
- What would you consider your greatest strength?
- What kind of contract are you looking for?
Project Manager
The recruitment process involved a single in-person interview at the company's site with HR and the sales director. This was preceded by a call with HR to set up the meeting.
- What do you know about the company?
Project Manager
I applied through an agency and the interview process started late. One of the interviewers was talking down to a staff member while I was waiting. I was walked past multiple times without any introduction or apology. They hadn't prepared at all, didn't explain the role, contract, or who I'd report to, and clearly hadn't read my CV. The questions they asked were basic things you could find on Google. The room was cramped and uncomfortable, making it hard to avoid hitting a shelf. It was very de-motivating and I felt like I was just a 40-minute inconvenience to their day.
- Tell me about your competencies, the answers to which could easily be found with a Google search.
- Can you provide examples of your competencies that could be answered with a simple online search?
