Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ENGIE.
Senior Engineer
They have 2 stages for the interview process, and they will ask questions about the chilled water system and what we would suggest or propose to replace to achieve the target efficiency.
- Can you explain how a chilled water system works?
- What changes would you recommend for a chilled water system to meet efficiency targets?
Project Engineer
It was a four-round process with a technical take-home assignment. The interviews were pretty chill and the take-home wasn't too hard. I'm giving it a neutral rating because after all that, the hiring manager ghosted me, never saying if I got the job or not.
- Can you describe a challenging situation you faced in college and how you handled it, including what you learned?
Project Engineer
I had a virtual interview with some people who would be my coworkers and supervisors. They asked me a bunch of questions about my current job and I tried to explain how my experience in renewables could help me in this role. They really needed someone who knew the job inside and out.
- Tell me about your interest in this Project Manager position.
- After learning more about this role, is it still something you are interested in?
