First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ENGIE.
Consultant
I was reached out to in September by a recruiter, and after some scheduling back and forth, we had an initial call in early October. It was a standard recruiter chat about my background and the roles. They then set up the next interview with a team manager for the following week. This 1-hour meeting, which ran a bit over, was a mix of behavioral questions and a case study. I moved on after that, and the recruiter scheduled the next round for two weeks later. This round had two parts: a 30-minute case study, followed by a 60-minute panel with three interviewers. I thought that went pretty well too, and I followed up with the recruiter and the panel to express my continued interest. Unfortunately, after that, I heard nothing back, which I found pretty disappointing given the time invested.
- Regarding case study scenarios, what elements should a client think about when looking at EV charging solutions for their fleet?
- For a model to assist a client in choosing between vehicle options X and Y, what factors or inputs would you incorporate?
- What about this role sparks your interest?
Consultant
I had 5 interviews in total. 3 of them were with managers, one with the head of consulting, and one with an HR manager. The first three interviews were standard business case studies and went well. The last two focused more on my profile. I never got any follow-up after the process, not even to say if I got an offer or not, which I found a bit strange after 5 interviews. I actually followed up twice and was told I'd hear back within two weeks.
- Can you describe a time you had to manage a conflict situation?
Consultant
There was a specific knowledge test (in engineering, renewable energies, etc.). You also had to solve practical cases, where you are given a scenario and have to propose solutions. Technical skills were assessed using software or tools that would be used in the job.
- What are your personal details and sector experience?
- Describe a professional challenge you've faced and overcome.
- What motivates your interest in joining Engie?
