First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at EngagedMD.
Software Engineer
So, the process started with a HR Screening, followed by a Team technical Interview with 2 engineers. Then, there was a 3 hour Take Home assessment. After I finished the take home, which took me 2 hours and I did everything elegantly, I was supposed to have a Final Interview, but I didn't even get that. Kind of insulting, honestly.
- Why did you want to work at Engaged MD?
Software Engineer
Had a recruiter screen where they asked me to rate my React skills on a scale of 1-10 and what I liked/disliked about TypeScript. Then I had a 15-minute "team" call with two people, though five were invited. They mainly asked what I disliked about TypeScript. After that, I got an email saying I was rejected, which felt bizarre and like a waste of time.
- What do you dislike about TypeScript?
Software Engineer
It was a bizarre interview process with several stages. First, there was a recruiter call. Then, a quick 15-minute Zoom call with multiple developers, which was unexpected since I was told it would be with one person. It felt like not enough time to get through questions with so many people on the call. They asked things like "what is your ideal next work place", not technical questions. Next, a full-stack take-home test was given using their tech stack. It was a fairly simple app with minimal requirements, so it was good that it was short. After that, there was a 45-minute review of the take-home test. Finally, a panel interview took place, but I withdrew from the process due to the low salary offered.
