Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Engage3.
Business Analyst
Started with a phone interview, then went in-person. Some questions were repeated in both like asking why I'm leaving my job. They hit me with a lot of negative behavioral questions, mostly asking about 'what have you done in such situation' type scenarios. Examples include if I had bad team experiences, if someone influential was in my life, if I ever created a process, how I handle many deadlines, or what I'd do if I couldn't meet one. The whole thing was quick and easy, but one of the hiring managers was unprofessional, yawning constantly and seeming uninterested while also coughing and sneezing. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you want to be underpaid and disrespected.
- Tell me about a time you needed to be detail-oriented but were unable to be.
Business Analyst
The interview process was pretty simple. First, I had a phone interview with the recruiter about a week after I applied. Then, I moved on to a second round which was a testing or trial run. After that, it was an onsite interview. I had really good interactions with all the hiring managers and people involved.
- What are some standard questions asked in the initial interview?
- Can you describe the trial/testing round where data research and analysis were involved?
- How important is it to write down notes and thought processes on the side during the analysis?
Business Analyst
The recruiting assistant gave me an assignment to check my skills for the role. After that, they set up a phone interview, and if it went well, I had an on-site interview. They asked a lot of behavioral questions about how I would deal with different situations. I was told they didn't move forward with me because the position was filled, but I saw similar job ads later.
- Tell me about a time you implemented a new process.
- Can you share an instance where you missed a deadline?
