First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Eneco.
Software Engineer
It was a very pleasant discussion and they asked very meaningful questions based on my experience. Also, they explained their current way of working and expectations clearly when I asked. The whole process took around a month as there was an assignment before the discussion. HR kept me informed at every step. Excited and looking forward to starting my Eneco journey!

- Can you walk me through some of the approaches you took in your assignment?
- What was your thinking process, and why did you choose those particular approaches?
Site Reliability Engineer
The hiring process took a long time, only two interviews. I was told I would hear back the next week, but it took three weeks to get a call. The HR person mentioned the team wanted to hire me but needed to sort out some details. After another month, I followed up via email but got no response.
- Can you tell me about the technical aspects of your resume and past experiences?
Controller
I felt a lot of pressure to finish both interviews and the assessment in under a week because interviewers were going on vacation. They said they'd get back to me after the second interview, but I was ghosted. It was super unprofessional and left me with a bad impression of Eneco. If I spend hours preparing and doing the interviews, the least an organization can do is send a rejection email. I'll never apply to Eneco again.
- Tell me about a time you experienced failure.
Analyst
I got contacted on Linkedin. Then had a first round with the hiring manager. It felt less like an interview and more like a rude interrogation. The person was super condescending for no reason and barely listened. They just kept berating me the whole time, even when I answered 'tell me about yourself'. They didn't like my answer and instead of asking a specific question, they blamed me for not being psychic. I definitely wouldn't want to work for a leader like that who just puts people down.
- Can you tell me about yourself and your background?
