First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Endress+Hauser Gruppe.
Rotational Engineer
So, I applied and then had this one-way virtual interview thing where I had to record myself answering some questions. A couple weeks later, I hopped on a 30-minute call with HR to chat about the role and review my resume. They were super clear that this isn't a "pure" engineering gig, more customer-focused. Then, another few weeks went by and I had a pretty long virtual interview, like 3 hours. I talked to two rotational engineers first. After that, I had a panel with the Technical Support manager, then another panel with the Inside Sales manager, and finally, the Rotational manager. I got an offer a few weeks after that. A lot of the questions were behavioral or about my past customer experiences. They really wanted to see if I’d fit with the company culture and if I was a good fit for a customer-facing role.
- What about our company interests you and what do you know about us?
- Can you explain your senior design project to a non-engineer?
- Tell me about a time you dealt with a difficult customer.
Project Engineer
It was a technical interview with the project managers, covering all the basics of instrumentation and job-specific technical details. Then, there was a round with the Team Lead where they gave a company overview and asked questions about my previous jobs. This was followed by an HR round with usual questions like 'Where do you see yourself in 5 years?' and 'What is growth according to you?'.
- Can you discuss instrumentation selection and its fundamentals?
- What are your thoughts on the technical aspects relevant to this role?
- Could you explain the basics of instrumentation?
Project Engineer
The meeting got cancelled and the position was put on hold without any notice. The Hiring Manager didn't have this information from the HR team. HR changed the date without asking the candidate.
