The interview process was pretty long: first there was a recruiter call, then a take-home assignment, followed by a phone screen that focused on system design. The final rounds included a review of the take-home and a coding challenge, another system design question, and three behavioral interviews. They really seemed to test how I handle ambiguity since many questions were open-ended, making it tough to know where to focus. The initial system design question was standard, like 'how would you build x', but the second one was in a different format I wasn't ready for. Despite the lengthy process that left me exhausted, everyone I interacted with was genuinely nice.

The interview process was lengthy but practical. A recruiter reached out on LinkedIn and was professional throughout. After the recruiter screen, the initial interview allowed a choice between a take-home coding project or a live Zoom interview. The subsequent interviews were conducted over Zoom and included system design and soft skills assessments. They were flexible in scheduling these remaining interviews across multiple days to make it less demanding. The interviewers were all friendly, and the interviews seemed to reflect the work culture, with everyone being supportive.

Had a recruiter call, then was sent a take-home project. The recruiter's communication was bad and unprofessional. They initially contacted me about one squad, but even after I wasn't interested, a hiring manager reached out about their take-home assignment. I agreed because I liked the project they described. I got the take-home on Saturday and submitted it Sunday. On Tuesday, I found out the role was filled, and they wanted me to interview for a different squad. They must have known the first role was filled before sending me the assignment. It was a bad experience and a waste of my time, especially since I told the recruiter I had other interviews and they pushed me to do the take-home over the weekend for a role that was already being filled.
