Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Encora.
UI/UX Designer
It was an HR interview, personality test, and technical test, and a technical interview. All interviewers were very cordial and kind. I found the test quite tiring to do 'well', I spent almost a day of my weekend, when my expertise could have been tested in a simple 'critique design' and the design process explained both in the interview itself. But without a doubt, what caused me a negative experience was the lack of convincing feedback, I was expecting something productive even if negative, but it was a simple 'we are moving forward with another candidate more advanced in the process'. It's disappointing to have all that work and care and receive a response that doesn't even add to you as a professional...

UX/UI Designer
The hiring process took about a month, with three interviews and a test. The first interview was mostly a chat to get to know me and check my English. After that, I got info about benefits and a take-home test due in two days (which I thought was too short a time, just a heads-up for the team). Once I submitted the test, I had a technical interview with some team members where they asked about my design thinking and my role at my current company, and I got to ask them questions. Then, I had one more interview and a psych test with HR, but I never heard back about how I did. Two weeks later, they rejected me without any feedback, even though they asked for a lot of my time and effort. It's fine not to pick a candidate, but a more human-sounding response would have been much better.

UX Designer
The process was quick and very friendly. The recruiter showed a lot of interest and answered all my questions. The interview was in English, and it was a call, which I found more comfortable and relaxed.
