So, the whole thing started with a quick chat with HR, then I had a panel interview with the frontend manager and a senior frontend dev. After that, they hit me with a big coding challenge, like, took me about ten days to build this whole web app and get a presentation ready for it. I was told I'd present it in the next interview and if I nailed that, the last one would be with the VP of engineering. But, surprise surprise, they never even looked at my code or presentation, even though I spent a ton of time on it. Then, instead of talking about my work, I met with the VP, Jason, who didn't seem to know anything about the challenge. The questions he asked were totally generic and more backend-y, not at all what I expected for a frontend role or after that big assignment. It felt like they totally blew off the effort I put in. I was prepped for a code review, but instead got textbook definitions, which I totally bombed. So yeah, I get why I didn't get the offer. Then, after the final interview, just a standard rejection. I sent an email with feedback, pointing out the unreviewed challenge, and got back another generic email, basically the same as the first rejection.

It started with a screening interview, then they set up the rest. The HR recruiter couldn't even give me a salary range for weeks. I met with 2 leaders, including the hiring manager. Then nothing for days. Suddenly, they asked me to interview with another leader. I joined the Zoom, but the leader never showed up. They said they'd reschedule but never did. Awful experience.

The interview process started with an initial chat with HR over MS Teams which went pretty well. Then, I had a second interview with the manager of the contracts team. I felt like they were really interested and thought I would get an offer easily. But, I waited for almost three weeks, and even reached out to the manager in the second week with no reply. I never heard back after that. Weirdly, I see they're hiring for the exact same job again, just with slightly different wording.

So first you chat with the recruiter, they'll ask about your salary expectations and where you're located. After that, it's a bunch of 30-minute phone chats. Each of those calls usually has one or two managers on it. Typically, you'll end up talking to about three different managers in total. Mostly they just want to hear about your past experience from your resume. Some will ask how you'd deal with certain scenarios. There are also a couple of technical questions in each chat. It's not super hard, but doing so many interviews can get a bit tiring.
