Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Empire Life.
Business Analyst
The interviewer seemed completely uninterested during the whole conversation, which made me not want to join the company. The culture seems very dull and corporate. Also, when I politely asked for feedback on how to improve, they didn't provide any.
- What is your motivation for seeking this particular role?
Business Analyst
The interview process wasn't too difficult, mostly just asked basic behavioral questions and asked to hear about prior experience. There were no technical questions, but it was important to have basic knowledge of data query languages and business intelligence tools.
- What is your familiarity with BI tools?
- Can you share some of your previous experiences?
Business Analyst
Phone call where we walked through my resume. They set expectations for the next interview. We finalized salary and they advised on next steps. I received a detailed overview of the organization, its history, current performance, and what is expected of me. The recruiter was very professional and understands the role possibly better than the organization itself understands the requirement. The recruiter provided clarity on the process, how transformation will help the organization grow, and how I will assist the leadership there.
- Can you tell me about yourself and why you think you'd be a good fit for this role, explaining how your experience relates?
- How is your experience relevant to this role?
