First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Emory Healthcare.
Pharmacist
Panel interview, with targeted selection questions asked mostly by the management team. Then, I met with some other staff members in the department who weren't management, and they also asked me questions and let me ask them about the job environment.
- Can you share an instance where you had a disagreement with a coworker?
Pharmacy Technician
It took me months to get hired. I had to get another job while waiting for this one to come through. It was hard to get ahold of anyone regarding my hiring status. The HR employee who handled my hiring process ignored me numerous times and was incredibly unprofessional. I had a panel interview, it was incredibly uncomfortable. They asked the typical behavioral questions. They should consider revamping their hiring process. I was absolutely desperate for this job and that is the only reason why I accepted.
- Typical behavioral interview questions.
Pharmacy Technician
The whole process of getting through HR processing takes a long time. Very simple procedure; applied online, sent in a resume. I don't think they ever contacted my references. They require a background check also. I came in for a short interview, about 30 minutes, which consisted of a meeting with 2 supervisors. They ask you a series of basic, stereotypical interview questions that really have nothing to do with the position (they write down all of your answers while you are talking so it helps to have more than 10 seconds worth of stuff to say). Then they showed me around the pharmacy and introduced me to a few staff members that were nearby. Everybody was nice and laid back.
- Can you share an instance where you identified an issue with a process and describe your approach to resolving it?
- Tell me about a time you were part of a team and someone wasn't doing their part.
- What do you consider your greatest strengths and weaknesses?
