The interview lasted about 45 minutes. They focused heavily on OOD questions, including the 4 pillars, and access modifiers (private vs protected vs public). There weren't many behavioral questions, mostly just asking about my motivation for applying.

This was honestly one of the worst interview experiences I've had. Scheduling was a nightmare after the initial HR call. HR said the manager was busy, and we'd set it up for the next week, but it took almost three weeks to actually get the interview scheduled. The first interview was with the manager, and supposedly there were one or two tech interviews to follow. The manager was five minutes late, which was a bad sign. They asked a ton of basic programming and OOP questions during the hour-long meeting. Towards the end, the manager asked if we could go over time because they had more questions, which was frustrating since I'd already answered about 20-25 programming questions and we hadn't even gotten to the technical part yet. I agreed, and they just kept asking more basic programming questions. It felt like a huge waste of time. I got all the questions right, except I missed the specifics of one design pattern. I never heard back about a second interview. I already had other job offers by then, but I definitely wouldn't want to work for a company with this kind of process.

It began with some emails from the recruiter to see if we'd be a good fit. Then I had a call with the recruiter where we chatted about what I was looking for and what they offered. He explained the next steps and potential future stages. A few days later, I spoke with a higher-up in the department I'd be working in, who was also very clear. My last call was with a tech lead in the department for a phone skill screen. The questions were directly related to the skills on my resume and totally reasonable.
