& Process

I applied through a recruiter. I originally interviewed for a Customer Service Representative position but switched before my second interview to a recruiting position, at the recommendation of the recruiters. The interview process can be intimidating but the questions asked, procedure followed, and atmosphere created truly allow for your personality and capabilities to shine through your nerves. The second interview allowed for a more comfortable experience as you are more relaxed with your interviewers (from the initial phone screen, first interview, and confirmation texts) allowing you to give thoughtful answers and ask meaningful questions. The team atmosphere described in the initial phone screen is accurate. You can tell from the minute you walk into the office that the people like working here and like working together.

This interview was kinda weird. First, they make you do an IQ test and a personality test, and for the personality test, they ask you the same stuff repeatedly, so be straight up. Then the CEO talks to you for a bit and asks some questions. After that, you have to go over a script for talking to customers. It's also a group interview.

Todd and Erica, the recruiters, are very pleasant and walked me through the entire process each step of the way. The interviews themselves are held in three rounds. They aren't easy, but they also aren't extremely difficult as long as you're confident in who you are. I fell in love with the place instantly when I got there for my first interview. The staff is extremely friendly, I even had a couple people ask me if I needed anything before I went in. Mark, the CEO, runs the job down from top to bottom. There isn't a question he won't answer in terms of what he expects from you this position. All in all, Fortren does an awesome job of telling you about them while learning about you. Their interview is perhaps the most innovative and thorough process I've ever gone through.

The 1st round interview is a group interview with about 8 people. This is where the company can examine which candidates establish separate themselves from the group. The 2nd round interview is an individual interview. This is where you are questioned on your qualifications, background, etc. Overall, it was an enjoyable, yet challenging interview process.
