& Process

It started with emails, and the recruiter set up a phone interview. It was about 20 minutes, covering the job details, what they expect, and my background. The interviewer was cool, straight to the point, and answered my questions. Later that day, the recruiter called to set up an in-person interview in Baltimore with 3 senior folks. I traveled there, they paid for it, and we met at their main office. I talked to each person one-on-one for about 3.5 hours. It was pretty chill, not like a rigid Q&A, more of a chat. Everyone I met was super knowledgeable and handled my tougher questions really well, being upfront. I was pretty impressed and felt better about the company than I expected based on reviews. Still waiting to hear back.

I had a phone interview that lasted around 40 minutes to kick things off. Then the following week, I met in person with a local manager for about half an hour, which was interesting since most folks here are remote. The week after that, I flew out to the corporate office in Baltimore, MD. There, I went through what felt like 3 mini-interviews: two with managers from different company sections and one with a division head.

The interview process was pretty ridiculous for the role I applied for. I ended up interviewing with 5 different people for a job that paid less than minimum wage considering the hours. They all asked the same questions, and I never worked with or saw half of them again.
