Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Emergent BioSolutions.
Research Associate
The interview lasted about 5 hours. I met with the scientists and associates of the group, usually two at a time for the technical part. Then the director interviewed me, but it was more about culture fit.
- Would you accept this job offer immediately if it were extended?
Research Associate
I had a phone call with HR first to get some background info and then they set up an interview with my supervisor. The video interview with my supervisor was pretty relaxed, it felt like she was just getting to know me. After that, I had panel interviews with directors, senior directors, my teammates, and people from other teams. They were all pretty chill and understanding when I wasn't sure about something. The whole company seemed really welcoming.
- Tell me about yourself.
- What prompted your departure from your previous role?
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
Research Associate
The interview process was pretty average, nothing too hard. I only did online interviews, no in-person stuff, and they didn't let me tour the site, which was kinda weird. After the interviews, they said they were ready to offer me the job, but I had to wait a couple of weeks because of some internal changes. After more than two months, I still haven't heard back, and I never got an offer letter or any updates.
- What makes you look for a new job?
- How do you handle deadlines?
