Strategic Development Program
It's a long process, maybe a bit repetitive. You'll chat with a recruiter first. Then there's a test for personality, motivation, and quick thinking. After that, you'll meet with two people from the site, then another two. Then you'll spend a half-day on-site so the team can see if you vibe with them. Finally, you'll have a meeting with the district manager. You can totally nail this last part by just asking them questions and letting them talk about their vision for an hour. They really care about finding a 'good fit,' but people still leave pretty often.
- Tell me about your research on our company.
- Can you share an example of when you demonstrated leadership?
- Describe the most challenging day you experienced in your previous role.
HVAC Technician
First they asked my name and took my CV. Then they asked how many years I've worked in the field as an HVAC technician. They wanted to know why I wouldn't mind leaving my current company and I told them it was because my salary is less. They began asking me questions about my CV and my job. They asked if I would be able to leave my country for another country without my children and I said yes. They asked my expected salary and I told them. Then they asked if I could join within two weeks and I said why not. They showed me my appointment letter and I signed the contract. The HR thanked me and I left.
- Would you be able to work in very high temperatures?
Management Trainee
I initially connected with a recruiter at a university job fair, submitting my resume. Subsequently, they reached out via email to arrange an in-person interview. The recruiter was very responsive and punctual throughout the process. The interview was conducted by the same person I met at the job fair. We discussed their past connection to the university and their views on graduates from the institution. The interview was quite conversational. Ultimately, they suggested I explore a different sector within the company, one I hadn't initially applied for but which aligned better with my skills and expertise.
- What led you to pursue your current field of study?
- Could you share some of your interests outside of your academic or work life?
Management Development Program
It started with a phone call where they asked really basic stuff about my resume and education. Then there were some online tests. The next interview was at a profit center, just chatting with the manager there – it was more like a meet and greet, not really structured. The final interview was a phone call with a senior executive who was pretty clear they were looking for a very specific kind of person and that the role wasn't for everyone.
- Can you share an instance where you held a leadership position?
