Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at EMC Insurance.
Intern
The interview was primarily focused on behavioral and work process/experience questions. It felt friendly but was slow and a bit impersonal. It wasn't a tough interview, clearly like a base level or initial step.
- Is the big picture or small details more important?
Intern
The whole thing went down in about two weeks. Everyone was nice, but they ended up giving the job to the CMO's kid. It really helps if you know someone inside. They never even bothered to tell me I didn't get the position.
- Tell me three words that describe you.
- Can you share an instance where you had to make a decision that wasn't popular or well-received?
Intern
The interview process had two rounds. The first was a phone interview and the second was an on-site. All my interviewers were really nice. Mostly, they asked behavioral questions. The whole thing took around 3 weeks.
- What type of supervisor are you looking for?
