A recruiter reached out to me for a 30-minute call, but they seemed really rushed. The Hiring Manager contacted me the next day; he was polite and seemed quite interested in my background. A couple of days later, his boss called me too. Then, the internal recruiter got in touch again, mentioning the Hiring Managers were really interested and wanted me to come in to present in 2 days. The whole process moved super fast. The Hiring Manager said the presentation would be casual, mainly to get to know me and see how I'd answer questions. Interestingly, during the presentation, they gave feedback as if it were for a formal client meeting. The Hiring Manager made odd remarks about my suit buttons and asked if I'd have background check issues like others they'd hired. This left a bad impression. Three weeks post-interview, I got an email saying I'm still being considered and they'll update me in a few weeks about next steps. I'm not expecting much from them!

The overall interview process felt very professional, and you can tell the employees genuinely enjoy working at EMC. The interviewers asked questions that were very relevant to the Project Management role, specifically probing how my prior industry experience might benefit the company. They also focused on assessing my cultural fit, which I perceived as open and friendly.

An internal recruiter reached out via LinkedIn. She did an initial screening call and then set up an in-person meeting with the regional manager. He's usually remote but visits the local offices often. There was supposed to be a follow-up with the local manager too, but that never happened. I'm not sure what went wrong, maybe a question I couldn't answer or lack of specific experience they wanted. I never heard back. The recruiter also didn't reply to my follow-up email. The manager seemed to be interviewing more on vibe than a set list of questions, probably went with who he connected with.
