Marketing Automation Specialist
The company reached out to me for an interview. After reviewing the job, I decided to take the initial phone call. I wasn't actively searching for a new role but thought it would be beneficial to hear them out. Unexpectedly, a few hours later, they contacted me again to state that they had made an error and my qualifications did not align with the position. I found this rather unusual, especially since they initiated the contact, and frankly, I felt I was overqualified given my 8 years of marketing experience, much of which directly covered their requirements. I communicated this back to them, affirming my suitability for the role and expressing confusion about their assessment. The following day, they proposed a "phone screen," which I declined. I lost interest in pursuing employment with a company that exhibited such indecisiveness with potential candidates. My advice is to steer clear; they appear to lack clarity regarding their hiring needs.

Inside Sales Representative
I put in my application online. Then, a recruiter reached out via email for a phone call. After that, the recruiter let me know they would set up a virtual interview with the hiring managers. I ended up having a virtual chat with two of the hiring team leaders. I was really hoping to get the job. It would have been amazing to sell insurance to pet owners, but sadly, they didn't feel the same way.

Sales Agent
I got an email to set up a phone interview and scheduled it for the same week. The phone interview went okay, but there were some phone issues where the interviewer would cut in and out. It sounded like there was another voice on the line too, which was weird. Despite the phone problems, we kept going. She asked for my availability for the next interview, and I gave her my available days. She said I'd get an email with a link to click. I thanked her and said I'd look out for it. I sent an email after thanking her and saying I looked forward to next steps. It's now Monday evening and I haven't heard anything back, nor have I received the email for the next interview. I was really excited about this job because I have a lot of experience in the veterinary field and have worked in pet insurance before. Now it looks like I've been ghosted after being told I was moving to the next interview stage. It's really disappointing. I wish I could talk to someone there about this because I've read that this happens a lot. I expected more from this company. Update 2/6/2024: This morning I got an email saying they're moving forward with other candidates. What's bothering me is that I'm being told this AFTER I was told I'd get an email with a Zoom link for the next interview. If they hadn't told me that, I would have been fine with it, but when you're told you're moving on to the next step and then find out days later that you're not, it's pretty disappointing. Don't tell people they're moving on if you're not 100% sure, you're just wasting applicants' time.

Customer Care Representative
Got an email to set up a phone chat. Before that, I had to do this long test on internet skills and general smarts. Then, the phone interview happened. After that, they offered me another webcam interview that lasted about 1.5 hours and I talked with three people. Right after that second interview, I had to do another test, but this one had a 1-hour time limit. It involved writing fake emails to policy holders, answering their questions. I was told to check the Embrace website for answers. There were also questions about medical records timelines. They really stressed how tough this job can be.
- Can you think of three ways to use a paper clip besides holding papers together?
- How do you feel about telling policy holders 'no'?
- How will you maintain a balance between work and life, given the stressful nature of this position?
