Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at embedUR systems.
Systems Engineer
I went through a group discussion round during campus placements. It was pretty straightforward, with questions similar to those found online. The topics covered were core electronics, including embedded systems, the 8085 microprocessor, and operational amplifiers. My friends also found the questions to be easy.
- Were there any questions about op-amps, the 8085 microprocessor, or other electronics topics?
System Administrator
The interview process was good, the interviewer was nice and the questions were neutral. It lasted about 10-15 minutes. They asked me why I wanted to join as a System Admin and about my knowledge on the role.
- Can you list some Linux commands you are familiar with?
- Did you have prior experience working as a System Administrator?
System Engineer
The team set up 5 rounds for the System Engineer position. I went through it during campus placements. Everyone who passed the first round, which was an online test, moved on to the second round. They said rounds 2 and 3 were group discussions (GD), but they were actually technical rounds with 10 people each. In round 2, the person who answered technical questions first and best advanced to the next round (round 3). Round 3 was a technical round for 5 members. I got selected, but then I was rejected in round 4, which turned out to be the final round. Only two students were invited for round 5. The whole process was quite straightforward if you had a solid grasp of your department's core subjects. Since I'm a CSE student, the questions focused on data structures and programming.
- For DFS and BFS, which data structure do you employ?
