Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Embark.
Senior Associate
I interviewed virtually from another city. There were 3 separate phone calls: one with the recruiter, one with the Manager, and one with the MD. The first call with the recruiter was exploratory. The Manager's call was more of a skills and experience check. The call with the MD was the final round, and it was very relaxed, more of a meet and greet.

Applied online and got an email to set up an interview and also complete an online personality test. Then I had an on-site interview with the CEO and two managers. It felt more like a casual chat than a formal interview, which was nice, and the conversation flowed well. The CEO seemed a bit uninterested though, which made me think he might have already picked someone. I did a lot of research beforehand and was really excited about the possibility of working there. Unfortunately, I didn't get an offer, but I wasn't totally surprised as it seemed like they primarily hire from top firms and look for a specific type of person.

After I applied online, I got an email asking me to finish a personality test. They said it'd help them see if I'm a good fit. Once I did that, I had my first interview in person. About two weeks later, I had another interview at their office with some managers. Then, a few weeks after that, they called me with an offer over the phone. It was a good experience overall. They were really open and told me what to expect and when.
