After I submitted my application, I think I got an automatic interview request. It was a one-way video interview through Spark Hire, and they asked me 10 questions about the job.

I stopped by without an appointment to check for openings. I was interested in Bright Getaways, a travel-related company, but ended up having a casual chat with the owner of eMazzanti and the Recruitment Officer. Since they have ties to the travel industry, they asked about my career goals and background. Instead of just saying they weren't hiring, they put a lot of thought into who they could connect me with. Carl, the owner, even called three different people on the spot and sent me their contact details for follow-up. Even though it wasn't for an eMazzanti job, I imagine their hiring process focuses on finding the right match that benefits both the company and the employee. They were both really pleasant, energetic, and friendly. I could tell they are very focused, dedicated, and efficient.

It was really hard to schedule a meeting with HR. They said my resume was interesting, gave me a date, but then missed it. I had to wait over a month for the meeting. At the start of the meeting, before my presentation, they told me my profile wasn't what they were looking for. So why did they waste my time? I don't know, but it was an experience and I learned from it. That's the positive part! Keep going, never give up, even if it's tough.
