The interview process was pretty standard and felt fair for everyone applying. They asked questions to see how I thought about safety and learning new things for the job. It was cool because there weren't really any wrong answers, and I could just give my honest opinions.

I applied because my college rep suggested it, and even though I'm a recent grad I'd be a tech I. They called me back fast and set up an interview for the next week that was supposed to be 2.5 hours but ended up being 4.5, which was totally worth it. He thought I might be a good fit for control specialist and started offering me coffee. He asked if he could film the interview for later, and I said sure. The initial chat was part of it, but he was super easy to talk to. We talked about my experience, he told me about the company, and I asked about training and moving up. He asked if I knew profibus and rslinx and some other tech stuff, explaining anything I was unsure about. He asked what 'sense of urgency' meant and for me to rank maintenance tasks by urgency, explaining why. There were a lot of personality questions and then a skills test. Since we ran over, he had to take a call, so I chatted with the next candidate. He then reviewed my test with me, explaining the parts I missed and what I should study, and congratulated me on doing well on a part that usually stumps people. I learned a lot and it seems like a great place to work, based on the current staff. I haven't heard back, so I don't think I got the job, but it was still a valuable experience.

The interview process was straightforward and laid-back. It included a test on fundamental mechanical and electrical concepts. We discussed job expectations and the work atmosphere. They also inquired about my past duties at other companies. The interview took place at the food court in the international terminal, not at the office. They collected personal details to initiate the badging process.
