Initially, I was considered for an Engagement Manager position. However, the hiring team believed a Customer Success Manager role would be a better fit for my profile. While the offered salary range didn't meet my expectations, the team indicated that I could be considered for a senior-level position if I advanced. I completed one interview that went well, after which I was given a take-home assignment. This assignment took approximately 4-5 hours to complete, even for someone not highly technical. Unfortunately, I was rejected shortly after submitting it, without receiving any specific feedback.

Technical Behavioral Other

Had a 30 minute chat with a Senior CSM, then a take-home assessment where I had to build an intake website (pretty technical and took hours). After that, I had a 30 minute meeting with the hiring manager, and finished with a quick 10 minute HR call to confirm details. They rejected me after I put in HOURS of work and did all the interviews, saying it was because I wasn't in the location they preferred, which they knew from the beginning.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview questions were pretty basic and the hiring manager seemed rushed and distracted. He was barely paying attention sometimes. I still moved on to the next stage, which was a take-home assignment and a meeting to go over it. One of the interviewers for the meeting didn't even show up. The hiring manager I'd already met with said he'd ask about my thought process after my presentation, but he didn't ask anything, so there was hardly any discussion. I got a rejection email soon after. Honestly, as someone who's hired for similar roles, this company really needs to improve their candidate experience.
