First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at EliseAI.
Account Executive
It was a pretty standard and easy interview process. I went through all 4 rounds and got an offer, but I had to decline for personal reasons. If you've got enough experience, the technical part should be easy. Just make sure to clearly explain your experience and the value you bring. Try to relax and chat with them like you're already teammates, don't be too stiff or anxious. They can tell if you're nervous! Just kidding, but seriously, you'll do well.
- Can you tell us about yourself and your career path?
Account Executive
The interview process was decent, but the CRO was creepy and shouldn't be employed. There were 3 interviews total. It included a mock pitch, and then an interview with the CEO. The process itself went smoothly, and the hiring manager and CEO seemed intelligent and competent. It gave me the impression of a highly quota-driven culture, which is fine. The CRO was 11 minutes late for our in-person meeting and was very disingenuous. He didn't respect my questions about quota or performance and seemed proud that no processes were in place. I get that it's a startup and they might not have time to build processes, but you shouldn't be proud of that. His vibe was creepy and offputting for me as a younger woman. I didn't really respond to his flirtatious advances, and he seemed upset that I wouldn't do that. I think I would have been hired if I returned them, but I would hate to work with someone so creepy. It kills me that the CEO, a woman who built such a great organization, has a creep like that lurking around.
- Can you tell me about a time you lost or won a deal?
Account Executive
It kicked off with a recruiter screen. The recruiter was a bit late, about 10 minutes past our scheduled time, but I was still keen on the company, so we went ahead. Then there were three standard rounds, followed by a final in-person interview. I really liked the three people I spoke with, including the leaders. However, the very last interview with the CEO was different. She came across as condescending and made me feel insignificant, as if her goal was to leave me feeling really sad and down. This experience totally shifted my excitement for the company. I'd advise caution when thinking about EliseAI as a potential employer. Maybe they'll get new leadership, and the company culture could improve!
- Can you describe feedback you've received and how you've applied it?
