My resume was found online and I was contacted. I had a good interview and accepted the job after talking to the manager about my concerns about a commission-based role. She promised I'd always make enough to live on and they would help me make sales each month. However, in the almost 2.5 months I was there, I only learned how to cold call. None of the appointments I set ever went anywhere because you need an experienced salesperson to handle them, and they never really taught us in-depth about the products or sales process. We had a week of listening to phone conferences with lots of numbers and minimal explanation, and were told the rest would be learned on the job. They never followed up on any of my appointments, instead scheduling around other people. I was constantly pressured to stay late and make more calls because I wasn't "reaching my potential," but despite all my effort, I never made a sale or got paid after the 3 days of training.

The interview process with Eliot Management Group was pretty straightforward. After submitting my resume online, I got a call for a simple phone interview. Then, I was invited for an in-person meeting that was about 15 minutes long. We talked about my sales background and future goals. The manager spent a good amount of time explaining the company and his management style with his sales team.

So you have to apply in person first and fill out an application. Then you meet with the regional manager at their office in Tempe, AZ. After that, you need to pass a background check. The interview was pretty easy, they didn't seem to have specific questions. They're really looking for people who can find and bring in new business leads, and basically just need people to be at their desks and on the phone.
