The interview has 2 steps, first an interview with an engineer in an equivalent position then a technical interview with a manager. The first part aims to evaluate the candidate's motivation, background, future projections and the reasons for their application. The second part is strictly focused on mechanics. We ask questions about technical choices, solutions developed and the candidate's investment in the tasks carried out on previous projects.

I showed up expecting to chat with Peter, the CEO, but he was sick that day. He had apparently told me that I already had the job and just wanted to confirm I still wanted it. So, an engineer looked over my aptitude test results (I got a 58/90). They mentioned I missed a couple of answers due to small calculation errors, emphasizing that understanding the core concepts is more important than just the math. Then, another engineer gave me a tour of the factory and the equipment. After that, I met with Ben, a senior engineer, who discussed the company's history and my university project experience. Finally, I was given some benefits info and asked if I had any questions. The whole thing took about 2.5 hours.

Applied online with a cover letter and resume. Got a response a few days later to complete a mandatory online aptitude test (mech. engr. related). Scored mid-sixties and was called for an interview. Instead of a scheduled time, I was told to 'just show up around 9am'. I received a tour, interviewed with three senior engineers, and completed an on-the-spot white board test with another person. Then had lunch with the president, who verbally offered me the job. Received an official offer via email later that day.
