The process began with a phone call with leadership focusing on performance and behavioral questions. This was followed by a panel interview featuring pre-written questions and involving various stakeholders. The overall interview process included three stages: meetings with leadership, colleagues, and frontline staff.

The interview was fine, went smoothly. The hiring manager really drilled down on the A3 thinking methodology, which is pretty old (1940s). The questions were kinda basic and just about using this old framework they use. They didn't ask about newer ways to make processes better or really get into innovative ideas for patient care quality. It felt like they're stuck on this old way of doing things and aren't looking for people who want to innovate. This could be bad for healthcare processes and patient safety. I'm worried this role won't actually use modern skills to improve things.

The interview process was not well defined, organized or timely. There was very limited engagement and follow up from the recruiter and the interview team. 1:1 interviews were cancelled more than once with no follow up from the recruiter the second time. Finally completed a 1:1 interview with the new hiring manager. As a follow up, the manager asked for me to provide professional references on a Thursday. Received the rejection email from HR that weekend. As a positive, the HR team did provide a final dispensation rather than ghosting. Obviously, a lot a red flags about the organization if this is the interview process that was proctored.

I first got a call from someone in a similar role for a quick 15-min chat. Then, HR reached out about a week and a half later to set up the first main interview with three people. They called me back the very next day for a second interview, and then offered me the job over the phone the day after that via HR.
