Manager
So I had this recruiter call with EA, and honestly, it wasn't the best. This recruiter, who someone else also mentioned, was super aggressive. Even though we had 30 minutes, she kept rushing me, saying she had other calls. She'd ask something, I'd start to answer, and then, like, 10 seconds in, she'd cut me off. She mentioned some stuff about the role that wasn't in the job posting. Like, it said Remote, but she told me it's Hybrid if you're within X miles of an office and wanted an answer right then. I said I'd have to see, but she wasn't having it. I pointed out it was posted as Remote, but she didn't care. Also, she said 50% of the job was sales, which I feel should be clearer in the posting. She finished by saying they had thousands of applications and that the job's been up for at least 6 months, so they're probably looking for a unicorn. This is just about the recruiting part, not EA overall.
- Can you talk about your background, keeping it to a maximum of 5 minutes?
Manager
I applied online and got an invite for an interview in 5 days. First, I spoke with the HR Manager. It was a good chat, even though it didn't lead to the next stage. The HR Manager explained the role clearly and quickly. When I asked about what's next, they were a bit vague, which made me think I wasn't the best fit for what they needed.
- Could you provide an overview of your career history?
- Have you ever been involved in initiating a project from the very beginning?
- Is a significant amount of travel something you are open to?
Senior Manager
The interview experience was fantastic. The Senior Manager gave me info on the interview format and what to expect. She answered all my questions about the role, company, and process, which made me feel more comfortable. Everything happened on time, showing good time management. They created a welcoming environment with refreshments and a warm greeting. After the discussion, I got feedback on my performance and learned about the next steps, which kept me informed. The Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition and Recruitment in Mumbai was great, providing comprehensive details beforehand. She addressed all my concerns, making me trust the process. The meeting started on schedule, showing respect for my time. A comfortable atmosphere was created with refreshments and a warm welcome. I received useful feedback and information about the next steps. The discussion with the interviewer was productive, helping us both understand the fit.
