Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Einfochips.
Intern
The interview process started with an HR round, followed by a technical round. The technical round involved medium-difficulty Python questions covering OOP, databases, and general topics. They also asked in-depth questions about my projects. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd recommend having clear coding concepts before applying.
- Can you tell me about your project?
Fellow
The interview process was quite thorough, involving at least 5 people interviewing face-to-face in Pune. Before that, about 3 weeks prior, I had a phone screening and then met with the MD and another Senior person in Bangalore. The interviews focused on exploring my CV experience and delving into technical areas of interest. They also covered team management, soft skills, project management, process details, QA/QC best practices, configuration management, and bug-tracking. For more experienced candidates (10-15+ years), these non-technical aspects are crucial, and they also discuss hypothetical HR management, conflict resolution, and escalation scenarios. The atmosphere was comfortable and the whole process felt quite friendly.
- Imagine you have a constrained budget for team bonuses, and not everyone can be rewarded. What performance metrics would guide your decisions, and how would you communicate the final bonus allocations?
- Given a limited budget for team bonuses, how would you determine who receives a bonus and communicate these decisions effectively?
- In a scenario with a limited bonus budget for your team, what metrics would you use for performance tracking, and how would you make and communicate the bonus decisions?
Intern
My interview experience was part of campus recruitment. The first round involved an online test that included a mix of aptitude questions, primarily covering topics like time and work, percentages, and some puzzles, along with technical questions focused mainly on digital electronics.
- Can you discuss your project?
- What is De-Morgan's Law?
- Could you show the SR flip flop diagram and Verilog code?
