The interview process was pretty standard and informal. It started with a phone interview, then an in-person meeting with HR. I actually had to wait an hour and 15 minutes for my scheduled HR interview, which was a bit of a wait. After that, I had another in-person interview with the team and managers. Everyone I talked to was really nice and made me feel comfortable, except when it came to the offer stage. Apart from that long wait for the HR interview, the whole thing took about 4 months! There was over a month between each interview, which felt like they were keeping me hanging, though it worked out since I got the job. I'm not sure if they were still interviewing other people or if it was just a mess with decision-making and bad communication, which I've noticed is common at this company. They also seemed offended when I tried to negotiate a higher salary than they first offered, which is pretty standard practice. They refused and acted like I should be grateful for the offer and the benefits, which they said should count towards my salary. While that's true, the way they spoke to me was condescending, like I shouldn't even ask for more. It was really unprofessional. They claim the interview process reflects the company, and besides the underlying issues like fear and backstabbing I've heard about (which wasn't part of the interviews), I found that to be accurate.

Sales Assistant
The interview process was pretty long and drawn out. The job was in Atlanta, but I interviewed at the NYC office. First, I had an HR interview, then two managers from Dallas and Atlanta interviewed me. They were great. After the second phone interview, I went to NYC for a mix of video conference, phone, and in-person interviews. Despite some technical issues, it went well and I felt positive. Then, I had to go back to NYC again to meet the LA team. I liked most people, but it felt a bit excessive. How many teams and leaders do you really need to meet? Finally, I got a vague email from HR saying they were moving on with other candidates. I asked HR for feedback but never got a response.

Digital Merchandiser
I had a good experience with the people interviewing me at Eileen Fisher. It started with a phone call, then I went to the office for an interview, and then I had a second interview in the office about a month later. I really wanted the job and made sure to send thank you notes to everyone I met. It was really disappointing that after three rounds of interviews, I never heard back from them. I tried contacting the HR recruiter a few times after my third interview but got no response. It's not professional for a company to just ignore a candidate and not let them know what's happening. If the job was no longer available, the HR recruiter should have at least sent a quick email. I still don't know what happened with this position. Don't expect to hear back from Eileen Fisher's HR recruiter.
- What are your hobbies outside of work?
Product Copywriter
The application process was excellent. I applied online and heard back within about a week. First, there was a screening call with HR. Then, I interviewed with the hiring manager and the person currently in the role I was applying for. Following that, I had a writing test. About two weeks after submitting the test, I had a panel interview with the team, which was quite interesting. Throughout the entire process, HR and the hiring manager were very communicative, which is unusual these days. I would gladly work there again if another opportunity arose.
