Coding Behavioral

It was a pretty standard software engineer hiring process with some coding and some behavioral/experience questions. First, there was a recruiter call, then a hiring manager interview, followed by a back-to-back onsite loop with about five interviews.

Behavioral Technical

First, I had a phone screen with the recruiter. Then, I spoke with the hiring manager. After that, there was a technical challenge, and the process concluded with an onsite interview where I met with different team members. They were good with communication, replying fast via email to my questions about the technical part and checking in before the onsite to make sure I knew what to expect.

Technical Coding

I had a phone call with their hiring team, and then I had to ask for the next steps. After that, they sent me a take-home assignment. They initially said it was an easy task that would take at most 2 hours and I'd have a week to complete it. But after they sent it, they wanted it by the next day, and I got it late at night. It was definitely not a 2-hour assignment; it took me days! I had to stay up late to finish the code and send it. I didn't hear back until 9 days later, and again, I had to follow up. They then called me and said they had chosen another candidate. What a waste of my time...
