The hiring process involved submitting an online application, followed by an interview. There were also informal lunches to get to know potential colleagues. After that, it was a matter of waiting for their decision, and if all went well, you'd get and accept an offer.

I really liked all three interviews. The first one was with a recruiter, so be ready to talk about your background with the firm and why you want to work there. The second interview was pretty relaxed with the manager and I was asked one behavioral question. The third interview was just a chat with a partner where they asked one question, but mostly it was a casual talk about my goals. The next day, I got a call with a verbal offer and then the written offer.

Behavioral Other

I had an on-campus interview initially, then an in-office interview three weeks later. There was also an optional recruiting social after all the in-office interviews. The on-campus interview was with a partner and was a really nice, conversational experience. The in-office one was with two managers who didn't seem very interested in learning about me. They mostly just expected me to ask them questions for 45 minutes, and when I ran out, they asked me a list of 'fun' getting-to-know-you questions. It felt like their decision was based on superficial impressions rather than actual job-related qualifications. The reception part was mostly people from the tax side talking down to me for applying to audit, and I felt like I was getting the cold shoulder. Even though they said they'd be in touch soon, I had to call over a month later to find out I didn't get the job. So, despite getting along with the first partner, it was a pretty negative experience with this office.
