Product Manager
Had multiple interviews over 5 weeks with recruiters, coordinators, and team members. There was a week delay because the recruiter went on vacation. After AEP, which was the week after, I still didn't hear back. The recruiter was on vacation again. The following Thursday, after they returned, I was informed the position was on hold. The recruiter gave a vague explanation about year-end hiring and didn't apologize, showing a lack of respect for my time.
- What motivates you to apply for this specific role?
Product Manager
I had an initial call with the recruiter, then two deep dives on product sense with the hiring manager, one interview with UX directors, and finally one with the VP of Product. I decided not to continue after the recruiter call. The recruiter asked some product sense questions and was pretty critical of my answers, even though they had no product experience themselves. They also said the salary on the job description wasn't correct and that they'd be hiring at a lower level, which felt really misleading.
- Can you describe your approach to feature prioritization?
Product Manager
It was a 5 stage process. Started with a phone call with HR, then a phone call with the Hiring Manager. Since I was applying from out of state, they had two more calls before the onsite. These were a video call with the Director of Program Management and a phone interview with the Chief of Product. The last stage was an onsite with 6 interviews.
- Can you tell us why you're interested in working with us?
- What's prompting your job search?
- Could you describe your responsibilities in your current and previous positions?
