I applied online and the recruiter reached out for a quick phone screen. The first question was about salary, which took me by surprise. It seemed like they hadn't hired for this role before, as the recruiter couldn't answer many of my questions. I was then asked to complete a technical skills exercise within 48 hours, which I did. When I followed up, I was told the feedback was good, but the recruiter didn't know the next steps. Four weeks passed with no communication, so I followed up again. Within 5 minutes, I received an automated rejection email. I asked for feedback but received none. I was confident in my solution, but it appears they aren't interested in engaging with candidates, even after they've completed a technical challenge.
