Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at eFinancial.
Account Executive
I saw the job on glassdoor.com and applied. Got a call the next day for a 15 min phone screen. Then they asked me to come in the next day for two interviews with different managers. After leaving, they called me back in less than 30 mins. I interviewed with 'The Boss' and the newbie trainer. Got a call less than an hour later with an offer. The office was nice, clean, and festive. Mostly behavioral questions, but some hypotheticals too, plus the usual 'why hire me/why this job' questions.
- What makes you want to work at this company?
- Are you comfortable asking strangers personal questions?
- Why are you interested in working here?
Account Executive
A recruiter reached out after seeing my resume online, and we had an easy phone chat. Then I filled out an application and did a 2-3 hour online personality test. I went to the office 3 times and met with 3 managers and the president. They asked typical sales and background questions. I also did a job shadow, and the job seemed really easy. In total, there were 5 interviews and 3 office visits. I didn't get an offer or any explanation why. My guess is Efinancial wants sales reps with a really specific personality type, and past sales experience doesn't matter much.
- What makes you the best candidate compared to everyone else applying?
Account Executive
Started with an email asking for my resume, then a callback for a phone interview. The phone interview was mostly about why I applied and why they should hire me. The interviewer then gave me a lot of info about the job like pay, benefits, and perks. After that, I was called in for an interview. It was a good experience overall. I wasn't offered the job immediately, but I got a second interview, and then an offer. The Director of Sales interviewed me last, and he was great, even walking me to my car.
- What do you expect from management?
